SIOUX FALLS – NFL players Harrison Smith and Nate Gerry are working for a defensive clinic together with the Sanford POWER Riggs Premier Football Academy.
The clinic will be between 3-5 p.m. Sanford Fieldhouse on June 17. The clinic is open to K-8 grade students and costs $ 25.
Smith, a Minnesota Vikings All-Pro security, is entering his eighth season in the NFL. The former standout Notre Dame and first-round draft pick is a four-time Vikings Pro Bowl selection.
In the NFL, Gerry, a linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles, is entering his third season. Gerry was awarded All-Big Ten Safety Honors in Nebraska before he was selected by the Eagles in the fifth round in 2017. Gerry is a graduate of Sioux Falls Washington who won the 2018 Philadelphia Super Bowl LII.
Young athletes attending this clinic will have the opportunity to learn from NFL players who know what it takes to succeed at the highest level of the game, said Kurtiss Riggs, Director of the Sanford POWER Riggs Premier Football Academy.Harrison and Nate are excited to join us for a fun afternoon of learning important skills.
