Can still target ahead of draft : The Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears will not have the chance to fill out their roster via the draft. Like many others around the league. The team has limited draft capital and that means it will have to look at the free agent market to help shore up some key positions. The team has the ability to sit back and wait on a few spots with the draft looming

Just below bears on 247 sports takes a look at a few free agents who could still be on Chicago’s radar with the NFL draft looming ahead in the coming days. Well, Ryan Schroeder, the Bears have a pair of starting tackles locked up for the near future with Charles Leno and Bobby Massie. Even so, the depth both is shaky at best. BRADLEY So it will end Rashard coward currently stand his depth behind those two starters

Ryan shredder was surprisingly released by the Atlanta Falcons this offseason and has a lot of starting experience. The 30-year-old tackle made 13 starts last season and has started 73 games in his NFL career. He went from being an undrafted player in 2013 out of all those his states into being a starter for the Falcons. He was set to have a big cap hit this year and that likely played into his release.

It could be hard to sell Schroder on a reserve role with limited money but he could be a solid reserve option for Chicago at the right price. Take Max Williams sometimes a new team can help a player reach his potential. Williams was touted as a move tight end who could eventually develop into a solid pass catcher in the NFL. Taken in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft Williams has failed to live up to that high ceiling for the Baltimore Ravens. He has scored just sixty-three passes for four hundred ninety-seven yards with three touchdowns in his NFL career his best season came as a rookie when he caught 32 passes for 268 yards with one touchdown

He is still just 25 years old and could benefit from a change of scenery. Teams love to load up on the tight end and Williams could be a low-risk option for Chicago this offseason if the draft does not work out with another option

The brand turban the Bears have a pro bowler along the defensive line in a game Hicks and a pair of young ends in below. Nichols and Roy Roberts Robertson Harris who have proven to be solid rotational players at the position. If Chicago wants to add more to the position then Brent Irvin could be a cheap replacement. The former fourth-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens. Urban has been a solid five-technique defensive end for the Ravens. He finished this past season with 27 tackles a half sack and two past deflections. He is not much of a pass rusher and that will force his market value to go down this offseason.

He is solid against the run and would be an ideal fit along Chicago’s line of scrimmage. Well, Ben Garland the NFL is all about having depth at key positions offensive lines get churned in and out on a weekly basis. It would be wise to add more to the position

Chicago already brought back Ted Larson to take over the roles vacated by Eric Kush and Bryan Whitman. But Ben Garland could add more competition. Undrafted out of air force in 2010. He served a two-year military commitment before joining the practice squad of Denver in 2012.

He later signed with the Falcons in 2015 and was hit with a second-round restricted tender last year. Garland has appeared in 54 games in his career with seven starts. He made four starts this past season for the Falcons and right guard. RB Spencer where this would all come down to what the Bears feel is the best option for them in this year’s draft. We already know they have shipped off Jordan Howard and added Mike Davis to the mix that they’re running back but it would not come as a surprise for Chicago to add more to the position. One player who is a fit if the team decides not to draft it back and Spencer where

He entered the league as a sixth-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks in 2013 before joining Maggie and the chiefs in 2015. The 27-year-old back does not have gaudy numbers but he is someone the team felt good about heading into the 2017 season before he suffered a knee injury.

He was set to be the team’s starting back at the time in 2016 where ran the ball 214 times for nine hundred twenty-one yards and caught thirty 33 passes for four hundred forty-seven yards.

He is a versatile running back who knows Nagy is offense and would be a good fit at the right price.
