Tyreek Hill is anticipated to meet with NFL researchers in Kansas City on Wednesday concerning latest claims of child abuse against the Chiefs wide receiver, sources informed NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.
The Office of the District Attorney of Johnson County Kansas announced previously this month that the criminal investigation into Hill resulting from a child abuse probe is no longer active.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in May that the league would wait until the investigations into law enforcement were concluded before weighing in on the matter. Hill’s case with the Children and Families Department of Kansas continues underway.
Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network revealed previously this month that Hill could join the club before training camp starts on July 26, ahead of Kansas City’s minicamp.
“Barring any further developments, there is every reason to think that Tyreek Hill will be back with the Chiefs before the training camp starts late next month,” said Pelissero at the time.
Hill has been banned from team activities by the Chiefs since April 26, when Hill’s KCTV5 and his fiancée released audio to discuss injuries suffered by their son.
Hill continues subject to a suspension under the private behavior policy of the NFL.
